Caleb + Rachel - Dubuque, IA Wedding Photography

Caleb + Rachel had such an awesome celebration of their marriage last weekend! From the moment we arrived at the Hotel Julien where all the ladies were getting ready, you could tell how calm and relaxed Rachel was. Enjoying champagne, helping her girls get ready and just completely enjoying the day. 

After a beautiful ceremony, we headed to an overlook of Dubuque and the Mississippi which provided a stunning backdrop for photos. The reception was hosted at Caleb's parents house, which was a gorgeous old brick house that was perfect for hosting a wedding that made everyone feel at home. The dance party kicked off like no other wedding I have been at and set the tone for an awesome night.

Nick + Kate - Dubuque, IA Wedding Photography

I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely couple's wedding and I could not have been more honored that they chose me to capture their big day. Kate + Nick live in Washington DC, but both grew up in Iowa. Their wedding day was actually the first time I got to meet them both in person! I had talked to Kate on the phone about their wedding day leading up to it, and just by our interaction on the phone, I knew their wedding day was going to be special. Kate was so laid back about everything, and so focused on the fact that she wanted the day to be easy and relaxed for everyone involved. 

You could just feel the excitement on the day of their wedding from all their friends and family in attendance. The ceremony was so personal and told wonderful stories about Nick + Kate and their journey to the alter, that it made me feel as if I had known them for years. Not even the rain could bring a cloud over this wedding day! Thank you Kate and Nick for allowing me to be a part of your big day! Hope you enjoy a sneak peek back into your wedding!
