Melissa + Austin - Dubuque, IA Wedding Photography

Melissa + Austin's backyard wedding was an absolute blast last weekend! They had the most amazing details and decorations that kept with their theme throughout the whole day, and perfectly represented them as a couple.  They married in their own backyard, which was beautiful! Mason jars hung from the trees and lined the aisles and flowers provided pops of color along the way.  And speaking of flowers, Melissa's bouquet was ahhh-mazing! Beautiful pink peonies and ranunculus, just amazing :)

You could feel the excitement from all their friends and family as they got ready and the wedding party watched from afar as Austin saw his bride for the first time during their first look.  I love when couples want to do a first look because it provides so much time for us to get photos.  After the ceremony we headed to a family farm for some more photos and then it was time to party!

The Offshore Bar and Grill provided great scenery during the reception with a view overlooking the Mississippi and the rest of the night consisted of lots of dancing, Photo Booth trips and a sky lantern send off to end the night.

Laura + Scott - Dubuque, IA Wedding

Laura + Scott are two of the most genuine people I have ever met. While working with them I had the pleasure of hearing their story, meeting their families and friends, and capturing a day that has been in the making for years. From the moment Laura arrived at the church, you could feel the excitement that surrounded this wedding.  From dance parties with the bridesmaids before church to Laura + Scott's first look (which is my favorite first look ever!), every aspect of the day was perfectly them and was just the way it should be.  

Laura + Scott gave us so much time for photos, which was amazing, and I had an extremely hard time picking my favorites for this post :) I had the fabulous Rebecca shooting with me from Photography by Rebecca, and we had a blast photographing this fun group at the Arboretum and the warehouse district before heading back to the River walk.  

Now, I had an inkling that this was going to be one heck of a celebration, but let me tell you, the second the DJ started after dinner the dance floor was packed and it stayed that way the ENTIRE night. The Diamond Jo Casino provide an excellent venue with beautiful views of sunset over downtown Dubuque after dinner!

Laura + Scott, thank you for making me a small part of your big day, it was an absolute honor to photograph you guys! Enjoy your sneak peak!
